Dan Pallotta's latest TED Talk- a must watch

TED

There are some TED Talks that I think should be mandatory viewing, and Dan Pallotta's latest talk is one of them. It's called The dream we haven't dared to dream - and when it contains this line What we fear most is that we will be denied the opportunity to fulfill our true potential, you know it will be good!I don't yet know what this means, or how I will use this wisdom, but it has generated a lot of thoughts and ideas. The idea that we need to put as much effort into pursuing the dreams of our internal selves as much as our technology is wonderful to contemplate. So too, the idea of trying to help other people achieve their dreams - helping other people fulfill their true potential, rather than simply focusing on ourselves and our own dreams. You can understand why this appeals to me, come on, he uses the phrase audacious authenticity people! This is what the content I've been created is trying to do - help you fulfil your potential, and try to get you to embrace a bit more vulnerability in your life. But I'm still left with the feeling of how? And that isn't something that Dan's talk helps with.Yes, I feel inspired by this talk and the ideas presented, but I'm inspired by so many TED Talks. And after all this time I'm still left with the nagging feeling that I'm not doing the right thing. Of course I have no idea what that is, but what I do know is that I still don't have the reach or impact I would like to have - something for me to think about some more.Having said that, I did a podcast interview on Write of Your Life a few months ago that has finally been released - about Do Share Inspire. And there is another podcast that should come out on Friday, maybe that will help with traction. Then Write to Launch, my book about self-publishing, will be launched on 23rd May - who knows where that will go.All of this is to say, watch Dan's talk and get inspired! Then let me know what you think it means for you. Seriously, I'd love to know what other people took from this talk. And if you aren't signed up to get my manifesto and see what I mean about trying to help others, subscribe below.[activecampaign form=5]
